The Nokia N900 / Rover / RX-51 is the latest ‘internet tablet’ from Nokia. It features a full QWERTY keyboard and a 3.5-inch resistive touchscreen.

But the main difference from the N97 is the Linux based Maemo operating system. Previously Nokia only used Symbian S60 on its smartphone devices, but this is new OS is the next step in the Finnish evolution.

It also has an upgraded ARM processor boosted up to 600MHz. There’s also a large high-resolution WVGA display screen (800 x 480 resolution) for video viewing. It’s a Maemo-powered phone with Mozilla browsing. It is so close to an internet tablet that connectivity and web-browsing are its greatest virtues.
