Last Saturday (September 26, 2008), Metro Manila was struck by a super typhoon nicknamed ‘Ondoy’. It has devastated a large part of Metro Manila including Makati, Quezon City and large part of Rizal. Water levels came up to as high as above 1st floor of houses and buildings.

The typhoon Ondoy ruined so many lives, properties and livelihoods. Even local celebrities did not escaped the wrath of this super calamity. Philippine Celebs who were greatly affected from the disaster were Cristine Reyes, Gladys Reyes, Jean Garcia and her daughter Jennica Garcia. It was really tragic for both the Reyeses and Garcias. Their houses were flooded up to their roofs. Cristine was even trapped on top of their roof with her nephews and was only rescued by Richard Gutierrez who also asked help from a friend that has some sort of boat.

Other celebrities like Maxene Magalona and Bianca King did the necessary help by donating clothes to their friend Cristine Reyes. Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo travelled from Manila to Vista Verde, Cainta, Rizal to bring food and milk to Gladys and her family.
