This might just be a political move or a truly benevolent act by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. But whatever the reason this is indeed good news for all government employees!

Budget Secretary Rolando Andaya has announced to the public that all state workers, whether permanent, casual, or contractual employees, will be receiving their cash bonuses next week. Each worker has been assured of P7,000 christmas bonus each as shouldered by the government. An additional P3,000 will be shouldered by the employees respective agency. Therefore, more than 1 million government workers will be receiving their bonus of up to 10K for Christmas.
