Confirmed cases of influenza A(H1N1) virus were reported to rise to 14 by the Department of Health. However , DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III said that there are still 27 new suspected H1N1 cases still being monitored.

All 14 cases , are currently being treated in designated health institutions, and everyone are responding to treament since all patients have aquired the mild and self-limiting H1N1.

Despite the addition of 4 more cases to the 10 confirmed cases last Thursday , the DOH chief gave his assurance that there is no reason to panic because this are all isolated incidents and are not sustained community transmission .

The four new cases include two-year-old girl and a 20-year-old male who had contact with Taiwanese nationals during a wedding in Zambales province and a 19-year-old female and a seven-year-old girl that came from the United States.
